Carbert Waite LLP welcomes its new associate, Kevin Stenner.
Before attending law school, Kevin taught middle school in Ontario and BC. While in law school at the University of Calgary, Kevin served as the President of the Society of Law Students, was the Calgary coordinator for Pro Bono Student’s Canada and received the Dean Michael Wylie Social Responsibility Award. Kevin obtained his J.D. in 2014.
Kevin practiced with a major national firm before joining Carbert Waite this year. He practices in general commercial and civil litigation practice. He has advised clients in a wide range of disputes and has represented clients in Provincial Court, the Court of Queen’s Bench. He has also represented clients in mediations arbitrations.
Kevin is active in the community and participates in various Pro Bono Law Alberta and Pro Bono Student Canada initiatives, including Queen’s Bench Amicus and Civil Claims Duty Counsel. He sits on the Board of Directors of Two Wheel View – Calgary Ltd., a charitable organization that creates opportunities for young people to learn and practice lessons in leadership, health and wellness, self-esteem, achievement, and environmental stewardship through their participation in bicycle education programs and trips.
