Matthew graduated from the University of Victoria faculty of law in 2012. He served part of his articling term as a judicial law clerk at the British Columbia Supreme Court in Victoria and completed his articles at a mid-sized Victoria firm. He was called to the bar of British Columbia in 2014. Prior to commencing law school, Matthew obtained a B.A. (Honours, With Distinction) in philosophy from the University of Victoria and an M.A. in political philosophy from Queen’s University.
Matthew maintains a general civil litigation practice with a focus on health law, employment law, and commercial litigation. He has appeared before the Provincial Court and Supreme Court of British Columbia and has successfully negotiated favourable resolutions for his clients outside of court. Matthew takes pride in going the extra mile for his clients to provide effective, thorough, and conscientious service.
