Carbert Waite LLP is pleased to announce that effective January 1, 2023, Lauren Barteluk has been made a partner at our firm. Lauren has been with Carbert Waite since 2014 and has been a valued and respected team member making important contributions to the firm and its clients. 

 Lauren’s current practice is in general civil litigation, with a focus on health, employment, human rights, and personal injury law. With respect to her employment practice, Lauren regularly advises both employees and employers on human rights issues and on all aspects of employment, including terminations of employment, harassment, disability issues, workplace policies, employment standards, disciplinary issues, and occupational health and safety issues. In her personal injury practice, Lauren represents individuals who have been injured as a result of the negligence of others, such as in motor vehicle accidents. In addition, Lauren represents various corporations in their defence of claims of negligence, such as slip and falls. In the area of health law, Lauren represents health care institutions and other health care professionals on various issues, including in medical malpractice defence. She has also appeared before the Federal Court of Appeal and all levels of courts in Alberta.
