We are pleased to announce that Eleanor Carlson has been appointed to the position of Communications Officer for the National Canadian Bar Association’s (CBA) Wills, Estates & Trusts Section. Eleanor’s term will commence on September 1, 2024, and continue through August 31, 2025.
The National CBA Wills, Estates and Trusts Section represents the CBA on matters concerning wills, trusts, estates, and adult mental incapacity. Its mandate includes estate planning, tax issues related to these areas, contentious matters, and court procedures. The Section also collaborates with organizations like the Canadian Hospice Palliative Care Association and the Canadian Bankers Association.
Eleanor’s appointment is a testament to her dedication to the field of wills, estates, and trusts law. Her ability to communicate effectively and her commitment to excellence will undoubtedly enhance the section’s efforts to serve its members.
