Biography
Jovan joined Carbert Waite LLP as a Student-At-Law in 2024 and became an associate in August 2025. Before joining the firm, Jovan undertook a legal internship with a national human rights organization and worked as a summer student with a mid-sized firm in Edmonton, where he closely collaborated with the civil litigation department.
Jovan maintains a broad litigation practice in the areas of commercial and construction litigation, condominium law, employment and labour law, and personal injury.
During his time as a law student at Thompson Rivers University (TRU), Jovan was selected as a Teaching Assistant for Property Law, and held the position of Vice President of Finance for the University’s Business Law Society.
Prior to attending law school, Jovan earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Royal University, where he achieved recognition on the Dean’s List and the President’s Honour Roll. Subsequently, he completed an internship with a real estate development firm, acquiring valuable experience and insight into construction projects.
In his leisure time, Jovan enjoys watching sports, playing basketball, golfing, skiing, and reading.
