Lauren obtained her B.Sc. in Earth Sciences from the University of Calgary in 2008. In 2011, she graduated from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University, and commenced her legal career with a firm in Halifax. She was called to the Nova Scotia Bar in 2012. She continued to practice in Halifax until she joined Carbert Waite LLP as an associate in 2014.
Lauren has appeared before the Federal Court of Appeal and the courts in Alberta, Prince Edward Island, and Nova Scotia. She has also represented clients in collective bargaining, before labour boards, and at arbitrations, conciliations, and mediations. Lauren has previous experience in matters related to labour and employment law, professional regulations, administrative law, civil litigation, and pension/benefits law.
Lauren’s current practice is in general civil litigation with an emphasis on health, employment, and commercial litigation.
