Eleanor Carlson

Eleanor obtained her J.D. from the University of Calgary. Upon graduating, she was awarded the Faculty of Law Silver Medallion (Campbell McLaurin Achievement Award) for achieving high academic standing and making a significant contribution to life at the law school during the three years of her program.

During law school, Eleanor led access to justice and community service programs. She was the Program Director for the Calgary Chapter of Pro Bono Students Canada, co-chair of the Calgary Chapter of the Women’s Legal Education Action Fund, and was involved with the Student Legal Assistance program.  

Eleanor continues to lead and participate in community service programs. She is a founding director of the Great Bar Band Battle Society, an organization that hosts fundraising events to raise money for access to justice in Calgary. She is also a director on the Board of Accessible Housing and volunteers with the Civil Claims Duty Counsel Program and Student Legal Assistance.
