Biography

Before joining Carbert Waite LLP as a student-at-law, Sarah Ann worked as a summer student at a national firm in Ottawa and completed two legal internships in Edmonton.

Sarah Ann is an avid outdoor enthusiast who enjoys hiking, skiing, kayaking, running, cycling, swimming, and travelling. During law school at the University of Ottawa, she was an active member of the varsity water polo and varsity Nordic skiing teams.

Aside from her professional pursuits, she loves visual arts and music. She enjoys creating pen-and-ink drawings, scrapbooking, and playing various musical instruments such as the bass guitar, upright bass, and flute. She is also learning to play guitar.

She has proudly volunteered as a first responder with the Canadian Ski Patrol for many years. She also participated in disability advocacy work in her law school, founding the ‘Advocates for Students with Disabilities in Law’ student society and acting as an executive member.

She is fluent in Spanish, proficient in French, and she is currently learning Tagalog, Sarah Ann is well-versed in multiple languages and continues to expand her linguistic repertoire.
